Original post

Found my flat. Now finding my people. (AECS Layout, Singasandra — not Brookfield. Che If you've seen this post before, fair. Third time up. The flat is real, the rooms are open, and I finally figured out why half the DMs go nowhere: there are two AECS Layouts in Bangalore. Mine is not the Brookfield one.📍 Here's the Pin — we're 400m from this spot. Please check before you DM. Saves us both a conversation that ends in "oh wait, wrong AECS."If the location works, keep reading. The flat:→ AECS Layout, Singasandra. 3BHK. 2 washrooms.→ Master bedroom: private attached washroom→ Non-master + me: we share the second one→ Total rent: ₹32,000, split proportionally across three rooms→ Deposit: ₹1 lakh → Maintenance: ₹0 → Water + electricity: at actuals→ Brokerage: ₹20,000. Standard is one month's rent. I negotiated it down and I'm telling you on a public post because I refuse to start a friendship with a markup.→ Kudlu Gate metro: 1 km→ Terrace access: included→ Vibe: peaceful, not "uncle yelling about your shoes" peaceful. The good kind. The neighbourhood (this part people don't expect):Three lakes within walking distance. If you're the 6am run or walk type, this place will ruin every other neighbourhood for you.Within 400 metres on foot: Star Bazaar, Cult Gym, wine shop, fruit market, laundry, medical, clinic. The kind of list that sounds made up until you live here and stop remembering what errand stress felt like.I work out of HSR — 4 km from the flat, 20 minutes on a bike even in peak traffic. If your office is anywhere in the HSR-Koramangala-BTM belt, this is probably better located than wherever you're currently looking.Furniture & utilities, already sorted:→ 3-seater sofa, centre table, washing machine: all rented — ~₹1400/month total → WiFi: ₹915/month, 100 Mbps → TV + fridge: incoming. Watch this space.About me:Video editor. Work out of HSR. Punekar by heart, Bangalorean by traffic. Into travelling, badminton, swimming. Non-veg cooking is completely fine. Eat what you want. Just don't leave the pan unwashed for 36 hours and call it "soaking."I want to put posters on every wall, host house parties, and have actual flatmates — not two co-signers on the rent. What I'm looking for in you:Chill. Clean. Tidy. Non-negotiable. I will not be your mother and you will not be mine. You do not put ₹10 Maggi on Splitwise. If that line offended you, we are not compatible, and that is genuinely a win for both of us.Smoking is fine. Chain smoking is a lifestyle I am not subscribing to.You are not running the office-to-room-to-sleep-to-office loop. Four million people in this city are already doing that. I'm trying to do the opposite. You actually want flatmates. Not a 50% rent transfer with a face attached. The wiper. Use it.Move-in: immediate.Bangalore is a strange city to move to alone. Everyone is busy, the traffic is sentient, the rain has opinions. I'm not asking for a soulmate. I'm asking for someone who'll grab a 10pm dinner on a random Tuesday and say "yeah, this is home now."Let's be the first family in the unknown city for each other. Before you DM:First — check the pin: 📍 https://share.google/3mgPnTufNcRVCcyOqWe're 400m from it.If the location works, skip the "hey bro, is this still available?" and just send:A short intro — who you are, what you do, why you're movingYour LinkedIn. We live in Bangalore. I'm going to look anyway.Talk soon.
